Today it is zero out but,
yesterday was a different story...
.
Burrrrr...

December's Chill
December's cold sun

High noon & Shades of grey

Fog shrouds the mountains

Haines Road in a fog

Hoar frost turning everything to white

With December's cold & fog,
lakes & mountains vanish and
I am left in awe

Winter's fuel

Evidence of neighbours...
this moose calf weathers the cold

The Snowshoe Hare is making a come back.
Their tracks are everywhere in the fresh snow
and they are a welcomed sight!

Usually running naked...you know it must be cold
when these two, not only keep their cloths on
but actually wear hats indoors!

Hi Heather!
Beautiful pictures. Hard to believe it's so cold there when it's 30C today and humid. We've had lots of rain lately and our reservoirs are now just over fifty percent full. Water restrictions have been eased and we can water our gardens two hours in the evenings as well as the mornings, every other day.
Hope you're all well.

WOW Betty...it's hard to think of PLUS 30C and gardening!! As much as I love the cold snow...I DO miss the fresh salads every day!! Sean was putting in a trail with the snowmachine a few days ago & hit my greenhouse AND a wooden planter!! Guess he'll have some repairs to do when spring thaw comes around !!! For now...savor the taists & smells of your garden for me :) & I'll make a snow angel for YOU ;)

I would love to see your snow angel thanks, 'though I don't think my body would adjust to those temps. very well!
Pity about the greenhouse and the planter. I'm sure Sean will have them fixed in no time when spring comes. Of course he will have finished the new addittions by then :)
